This course is designed as an introduction to the fundamentals of quality improvement. This course aims to provide learners with a systematic framework to implementing improvement initiatives. It will provide learners with theories and concrete applications of how to best apply these concepts as they work through their QI project. It will teach participants the fundamentals of QI, how to assess their current state, tools to use to validate their key problem, and identify gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement. Participants will learn how to map their process, implement small tests of change cycles, apply human factors design, and collect and analyze baseline data to determine if their improvements are working. After completion of these 14 virtual classes, participants can obtain a Fundamentals of QI Certificate of Completion (estimated time to complete - 6 hours)
