Bronchodilator Drug Aerosol Pathway is a newly standardized policy and procedure that collates 30 different policies from the system into one approved process.

This educational module will describe the process for ordering the respiratory-driven bronchodilator pathway, define the criteria that must be met for the therapeutic interchange to a metered dose inhaler, articulate how the pathway supports escalation and de-escalation of medication administration frequency, and how changes in frequency and route of administration are to be documented.
